Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Trunk end trim (See <a href=\"SM356202\">TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Trunk side trim (See <a href=\"SM356203\">TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Rear combination light (See <a href=\"SM356245\">REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Rear splash shield (See <a href=\"SM356172\">REAR SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Rear bumper stay (See <a href=\"SM356015\">REAR BUMPER STAY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              f. Rear bumper retainer no.1 (See <a href=\"SM356019\">REAR BUMPER RETAINER No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              g. Rear bumper (See <a href=\"SM356021\">REAR BUMPER REMOVAL<\/a>.)(See <a href=\"SM356022\">REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>If the system does not operate normally even though the inspection items are normal, replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module. (See <a href=\"SM353678\">BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>When replacing a blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) having any of the following part numbers, it is necessary to replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) at the same time to perform
