    Door cannot be locked\/unlocked using the door key cylinder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Door cannot be locked\/unlocked using the driver’s door lock knob.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Door latch switch malfunction<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Door lock actuator malfunction<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1E and door latch and lock actuator (RH) terminal E<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1B and door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal G<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1C and door latch and lock actuator (RH) terminal K<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1C and door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal A<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Does the door-ajar warning light turn on\/off?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Go to Step 3.<\/p>\n

(Door latch switch is normal)<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Replace the door latch and lock actuator, then go to Step 6.<\/p>\n

    Perform the lock\/unlock operation using the driver\u2019s door lock knob.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Is the door lock\/unlock for all doors switched normally?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

System is normal.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between the following terminals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1E and door latch and lock actuator (RH) terminal E<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1B and door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal G<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1C and door latch and lock actuator (RH) terminal K<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Electrical supply unit (ESU) terminal 1C and door latch and lock actuator (LH) terminal A<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
      • \n

        Inspect the common connector and terminals for corrosion, damage, or disconnection and the common wiring harnesses for an open circuit to determine the malfunctioning location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Repair or replace the malfunctioning location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
        • \n

          Repair or replace the wiring harness which has an open circuit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

            \n
          • \n

            Go to Step 6.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
