Switch the ignition from ON (engine off or on) to OFF and do not lock the steering when opening\/closing the door.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Start stop unit terminal 1P and door lock link switch (driver’s side) terminal D<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Start stop unit terminal 1AF and ground<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Start stop unit terminal 2A and ground<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Start stop unit terminal 2B and ground<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • \n

      Short to ground in wiring harness between start stop unit terminal 1P and door lock link switch (driver’s side) terminal D<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Customer’s mis-operation or misunderstanding<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between the following terminals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Start stop unit terminal 1P and door lock link switch terminal D<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
      • \n

        Inspect the common connector and terminals for corrosion, damage, or disconnection and the common wiring harnesses for an open circuit to determine the malfunctioning location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Repair or replace the malfunctioning location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
        • \n

          Repair or replace the wiring harness which has an open circuit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

            \n
          • \n

            After replacement, go to Step 5.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Verify that the start stop unit connector is disconnected.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Inspect for continuity between the following wiring harness terminals (vehicle wiring harness side) and body ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Start stop unit terminal 1P<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • \n

      Is there continuity?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

    Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between the following terminals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Start stop unit terminal 1P and door lock link switch terminal D<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n
