Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the trunk end trim. (See <a href=\"SM356202\">TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Partially peel back the trunk side trim. (See <a href=\"SM356203\">TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Rear combination light (See <a href=\"SM356245\">REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Rear splash shield (See <a href=\"SM356172\">REAR SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Rear bumper stay (See <a href=\"SM356015\">REAR BUMPER STAY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Rear bumper retainer No.1 (See <a href=\"SM356019\">REAR BUMPER RETAINER No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the screws.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003113.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003113.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the screws.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003114.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003114.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the positions shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003115.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003115.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the rear bumper hooks are detached from the rear bumper slider without supporting the rear bumper, it may fall off and be damaged. Detach the rear bumper hooks from the rear bumper slider using two people, one person supports the rear bumper.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Carefully remove the rear bumper from the rear bumper slider. If the rear bumper hooks are detached from the rear bumper slider with excessive force, the rear bumper hook may be damaged because the rear bumper hooks and the rear bumper slider are engaged firmly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            8. Pull the rear bumper in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure, and detach the rear bumper hooks from the rear bumper slider.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003116.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003116.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9. Hold the shaded areas shown in the figure, pull the rear bumper in the direction of the arrow, and detach the rear bumper from the body and the rear bumper bracket.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003117.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003117.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            10. Disconnect the connectors.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003118.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003118.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            11. Remove the wiring harness clip.<\/p>\n<p>            12.
