2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Connect the connectors.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

2. Install the wiring harness clip.<\/p>\n

3. Press the rear bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and install the rear bumper to the rear bumper bracket and the body.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Move the rear bumper guide in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and insert it into the rear bumper slider guide hole.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Hook the rear bumper to rear bumper slider in the order show in the figure.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Install the screws.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

7. Install the screws.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

8. Install the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Rear bumper retainer No.1 (See REAR BUMPER RETAINER No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Rear bumper stay (See REAR BUMPER STAY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. Rear splash shield (See REAR SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

d. Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

e. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

f. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

9. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

10. If the rear bumper is replaced, perform the blind spot monitoring radar aiming. (with blind spot monitoring system)(See BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) RADAR AIMING<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
