Measure the clearance and height difference between the hood and the front bumper.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003151.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003151.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Standard clearance<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>a: 1.7\u20145.3 mm {0.07\u20140.20 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>b: \u20132.0\u20142.0 mm {\u20130.078\u20140.078 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, adjust the clearance using the following procedure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Loosen the hood hinge installation bolts, move the hood, and adjust the installation position. (See <a href=\"SM356032\">HOOD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Tighten the hood hinge installation bolts. (See <a href=\"SM356032\">HOOD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Loosen the hood latch installation bolts, and move the hood latch to adjust the clearance between the hood and the front bumper. (See <a href=\"SM356087\">HOOD LATCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Tighten the hood latch installation bolts. (See <a href=\"SM356087\">HOOD LATCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Turn the stop rubber to adjust the differences in height of the hood.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003152.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003152.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Verify that the clearances and differences in height of the hood and the front bumper are within the standard clearance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            2.
