If the stay damper is removed without supporting the trunk lid, the trunk lid may fall and cause injury.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. SiriusXM satellite radio antenna (with SiriusXM satellite radio) (See <a href=\"SM356341\">SiriusXM SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. SiriusXM satellite radio antenna feeder (with SiriusXM satellite radio) (See <a href=\"SM356343\">SiriusXM SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA FEEDER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Trunk lid striker (See <a href=\"SM356115\">TRUNK LID LOCK STRIKER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Insert the remover tool into the position shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005334.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005334.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and pull the band.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the stay damper.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If a different type of metal such as iron contacts the aluminum panel (aluminum), it could corrode the aluminum. Use exclusive surface finished bolts for the aluminum panel installation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            6. Remove the bolts.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003155.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003155.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Remove the trunk lid.<\/p>\n<p>            8. Remove the nuts.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003156.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003156.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the trunk lid hinge.<\/p>\n<p>            10. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            11. Adjust the trunk lid.
