Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. To facilitate removal of the outer mirror glass, orient the outer mirror in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003000.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003000.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Affix the protective tape to the position shown in the figure to prevent scratches and damage.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005861.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005861.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Move the outer mirror glass in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to secure a space for inserting your fingers.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003633.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003633.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Be careful not to overheat the outer mirror, as temperatures higher than <b>60\u00b0C {108\u00b0F<\/b>} deform it.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            5. Removal of the outer mirror glass can be facilitated by warming the back of the glass to approx. <b>50\u00b0C {90\u00b0F} to 60\u00b0 {108\u00b0F}<\/b> using a drier.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003001.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003001.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>When moving the outer mirror glass, if only the mirror glass is moved, the mirror glass could separate from the outer mirror glass holder. Move the outer mirror glass holder together with the mirror glass when moving the outer mirror glass.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            6. Insert your fingers into the area shown in the figure, and move the outer mirror glass in the direction of the arrow to detach the pin.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003002.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003002.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Move the outer mirror glass in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to secure a space for inserting your fingers.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003003.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003003.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            8. Insert your fingers behind the glass in the same manner as Step 4 and disengage the remaining pin A and B.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003004.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003004.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the wiring harness for hooks.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXZZW00003073.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXZZW00003073.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            10. Disconnect the connector. (with blind spot monitoring (BSM) system)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003006.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003006.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            11. Disconnect the connectors. (with heated outer mirror)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003809.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003809.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            12. Disconnect the auto-dimming outer mirror connector. (with auto-dimming outer mirror)<\/p>\n<p>            13.
