Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the outer mirror glass. (See <a href=\"SM356061\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM356062\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Verify that the resistance and continuity between the heated outer mirror terminals is as indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6ZZW00009399.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6ZZW00009399.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If not as indicated in the table, or if the resistance is not within the specification, replace the outer mirror glass. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the outer mirror glass. (See <a href=\"SM356061\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM356062\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Connect the battery voltage as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6ZZW00014498.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6ZZW00014498.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the BSM warning light does not illuminate, replace the outer mirror glass. (See <a href=\"SM356061\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM356062\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id09120001040003\" id=\"id09120001040003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Auto-dimming Outer Mirror<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the outer mirror glass. (See <a href=\"SM356061\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM356062\">OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Connect the dry cell batteries (1.2 V) in a series.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6XUW00005587.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6XUW00005587.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Verify that the mirror side of the outer mirror glass changes color.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            4.
