2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

POWER OUTER MIRROR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Perform the door glass preparation. (See DOOR GLASS REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Door trim (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. Door glass (See DOOR GLASS REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

d. Door speaker (See DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

e. Glass guide (See DOOR QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4. Remove the wiring harness clip and disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Remove the bolts.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Pull the power outer mirror in the direction of the arrow while remove clip, pins.<\/p>\n

7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Power Outer Mirror Installation Note<\/a>.)

Power Outer Mirror Installation Note<\/h4>\n

1. If the wiring harness is routed incorrectly, the wiring harness may contact the door glass when opening\/closing the door glass, causing damage to the wiring harness. When routing the wiring harness, route it through the back side of the glass guide.<\/p>\n
