While pulling the hood release lever, insert a remover tool into the position shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002582.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002582.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure and rotate it in the direction of arrow (1) to detach the hood release lever from the driver\u2019s side lower panel.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Remove the hood release lever while being careful not to damage the hood release cable with the flathead screwdriver.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the hood release cable from the hood release lever.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Install in the reverse order of removal.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id09140000670002\" id=\"id09140000670002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Hood Release Cable<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Front bumper (See <a href=\"SM356039\">FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL<\/a>.)(See <a href=\"SM356040\">FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Front mudguard (LH) (See <a href=\"SM356174\">FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Front combination light (LH) (See <a href=\"SM356244\">FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Hood release lever (See <a href=\"\"#id09140000670001\">Hood Release Lever<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the hood release cable from the hood latch.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the clips.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002583.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002583.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the grommet.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the hood release cable.<\/p>\n<p>            7.
