2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

COWL GRILLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Remove the wiper arm and blade. (See WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Disconnect washer hose B from joint pipe A. (See WASHER HOSE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Detach the weatherstrip clips A and B from the cowl grille.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Remove the weatherstrip.<\/p>\n

5. Remove the hole covers.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Remove the screws.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

7. Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and detach the cowl grille hooks from the body.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

8. Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and remove the guides from the windshield.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

9. Detach windshield washer hose B from the cowl grille hook.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

10. Move the cowl grille (RH) in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

11. Move the cowl grille (LH) in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

12. Remove both cowl grilles (LH and RH) in the direction of arrows (2) as a single unit.<\/p>\n

13. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
