2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

A-PILLAR GARNISH REMOVAL<\/h3>\n

1. Open the convertible top.<\/p>\n

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Open the door.<\/p>\n

4. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Female wedge (See FEMALE WEDGE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. Front header trim (See FRONT HEADER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

d. Windshield garnish (See WINDSHIELD GARNISH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

5. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure, rotate it in the direction of the arrow and detach A-pillar garnish clip.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

6. While lifting up the A-pillar garnish in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move it in the direction of arrows (2) and (3), and detach the clip from the A-pillar garnish.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

7. Move the A-pillar garnish in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

8. Remove the clips remaining on the body.<\/p>\n
