HEADER WEATHERSTRIP REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Header Weatherstrip Removal<\/h4>\n

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Female wedge (See FEMALE WEDGE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. Front header trim (See FRONT HEADER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Remove the clips.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Pull the header weatherstrip in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and peel the butyl tape gradually.<\/p>\n

5. Remove the clips.<\/p>\n

6. Pull the header weatherstrip in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and peel the butyl tape gradually.<\/p>\n

Header Weatherstrip Installation<\/h4>\n

1. Remove the tape backing of the butyl tape.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

2. Press in the header weatherstrip in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

3. Install the clips.<\/p>\n

4. Verify that the part of the header weatherstrip shown in the figure is inserted inside the drip molding.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Install the header weather strip along the body shape.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Install the clips.<\/p>\n

7. Remove the tape backing of the butyl tape.<\/p>\n

8. Press the header weatherstrip in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to press fit the butyl tape.<\/p>\n

9. Install the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Front header trim (See FRONT HEADER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Female wedge (See FEMALE WEDGE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

10. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
