Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for <b>1 min or more<\/b>. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See <a href=\"SM353197\">AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Upper panel (See <a href=\"SM356228\">UPPER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Parking brake lever boot panel (See <a href=\"SM356180\">PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              f. Center panel No.1 (See <a href=\"SM356181\">CENTER PANEL No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              aa. Climate control unit (See <a href=\"SM353347\">CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353361\">CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              ab. Audio unit (without center display) (See <a href=\"SM356320\">AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              ac. Center display (with center display) (See <a href=\"SM356304\">CENTER DISPLAY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the duct.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004471.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004471.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the wiring harness clips and disconnect the connectors installed on the steering column component.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the steering column nuts and place the steering column component on the floor. (See <a href=\"SM353228\">STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.<\/p>\n<p>            8. Remove the tire house trim. (See <a href=\"SM356200\">TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the fasteners.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002673.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002673.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            10. Insert your hand into the opening in the back trim and disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003173.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003173.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            11. Remove the wiring harness clip.<\/p>\n<p>            12. Disconnect the connectors and remove the wiring harness clips.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Secure the disconnected wiring harness to the dashboard using tape.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003174.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003174.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            13. Remove the bolts and the nuts.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002675.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002675.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            14. Remove the dashboard bracket.<\/p>\n<p>            15. Remove the caps and the bolts.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002676.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002676.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The bolts in the position shown in the figure cannot be removed completely because they contact the door. If the door is closed with the bolts sticking out, it may cause a dent or damage to the coating film. After taking out the dashboard from the cabin, secure the removed bolts to the vehicle body using tape so that they do not stick out.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002677.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002677.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            16. Secure the cooling duct to the dashboard frame using tape.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002678.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002678.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            17. Move the dashboard in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2) shown in the figure, then remove the guide pin.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002679.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002679.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            18. While rotating the dashboard in the direction shown in the figure, pull it out toward the vehicle???s rear side.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002680.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002680.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            19.
