2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Install the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Driver-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. Driver-side A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Remove the bolt.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Move the driver-side lower panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to a position where the cluster switch can be removed and detach the clips and hook from the dashboard.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Partially peel back the driver-side lower panel to the position where the cluster switch is visible.<\/p>\n

6. Disconnect the cluster switch connector.<\/p>\n

7. Press the hooks in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the cluster switch in the direction of arrow (2) while detaching the hooks from the driver-side lower panel.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

8. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
