2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

FRONT HEADER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Open the convertible top.<\/p>\n

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Remove the A-pillar trim. (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4. Remove the female wedge. (See FEMALE WEDGE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

5. Remove the screws.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Move the front header trim in the order of arrows (1), (2) and (3) shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clips.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

7. Disconnect the map light connector.<\/p>\n

8. Remove the map light when replacing the front header trim. (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

9. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Front Header Trim Installation Note<\/a>.)

Front Header Trim Installation Note<\/h4>\n

1. Install the front header trim with the sunvisor open. Otherwise, the vanity mirror may be damaged.<\/p>\n
