{"id":10558,"date":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mazdaman.x10host.com\/sm356256\/"},"modified":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","modified_gmt":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","slug":"sm356256","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/chroot-me.in\/16ND\/sm356256\/","title":{"rendered":"AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"node node SERVICE_MANUALS\">\n    <\/p>\n<div class=\"textleft\">\n<div class=\"attr CONTENT c2\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n          <link rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text\/css\" href=\"style.css\" media=\"screen\"><a class=\"prevPage\" href=\"SM356255\">&lt; Previous<\/a> <a class=\"nextPage\" href=\"SM356257\">Next &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>2016 &#8211; MX-5 &#8211; Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n<p><a name=\"id091800805500\" id=\"id091800805500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The auto leveling control module stores the vehicle specification information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A new auto leveling control module does not store any vehicle specification information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>When the ignition is switched ON after the auto leveling control module is replaced, the auto leveling control module reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN transmission from the instrument cluster, and stores the vehicle specification information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The auto leveling control module records the vehicle height while it is unoccupied.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Even if the battery is disconnected, the unoccupied vehicle height recorded by the auto leveling control module is not erased.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The new auto leveling control module does not record the vehicle height while it is unoccupied.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The auto leveling control module reads the vehicle height information from the auto leveling sensor and records the vehicle height while it is unoccupied when the headlight auto leveling system initial setting is performed after the auto leveling control module is replaced.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Passenger-side scuff plate (See <a href=\"SM356211\">SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Passenger-side front side trim (See <a href=\"SM356199\">FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Passenger-side A-pillar trim (See <a href=\"SM356198\">A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Passenger-side lower panel (See <a href=\"SM356210\">PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005597.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005597.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the nut.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the auto leveling control module.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            7. Perform the auto leveling control module automatic configuration using the following procedure.<\/p>\n<p>              a. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 1 min or more.<\/p>\n<p>              b. Switch the ignition off and wait for 3 s or more.<\/p>\n<p>              c. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and complete the auto leveling control module automatic configuration.<\/p>\n<p>            8. Using the M-MDS, verify that DTCs U2300:54, U2300:55, or U2300:56 is not displayed.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If DTC U2300:54, U2300:55, or U2300:56 is displayed, go to the DTC troubleshooting procedure. (See <a href=\"SM353525\">DTC U2300:54 [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353526\">DTC U2300:55 [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353527\">DTC U2300:56 [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            9. If the auto leveling control module is replaced with a new one, perform the headlight auto leveling system initialization.
