Open the hood.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Carefully pull the cap up in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure while slightly shaking it, and detach the cap from the wiper arm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004695.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004695.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If excessive force is applied when removing the cap, the tabs could break. Carefully remove the cap.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            3. Remove the cap from the wiper arm by pulling the cap in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p>            4. While pressing the wiper arm as shown in the figure, loosen the nut without completely removing it.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004696.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004696.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Close the hood.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Raise the wiper arm as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004697.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004697.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Move the wiper arm in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and detach it from the serrated connecting part.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004698.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004698.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the wiper arm is pulled up with the nut completely removed, the wiper arm could contact the hood when it is removed. Always pull up the wiper arm with the nut not completely removed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            8. Pull up the wiper arm in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to the temporarily tightened nut.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the nut.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004699.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004699.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            10. Remove the wiper arm. (See <a href=\"\"#id09190080430002\">Wiper arm installation note<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            11. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            12. Adjust the wiper arm and blade. (See <a href=\"SM356290\">WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT<\/a>.)<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id09190080430002\" id=\"id09190080430002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Wiper arm installation note<\/h5>\n<p>            1. Clean the serrated connecting part with a wire brush before installing the wiper arm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00011696.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00011696.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id09190080430003\" id=\"id09190080430003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Wiper Blade<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"id09190080430004\" id=\"id09190080430004\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Type A<\/h5>\n<p>            1. While pressing the wiper blade tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press the wiper arm in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the wiper blade from the wiper arm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004700.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004700.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the wiper arm end is placed directly on the windshield after removing the wiper blade, it could scratch the windshield. If the wiper arm end is to be placed on the windshield, place it on a rag to protect the windshield.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004701.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004701.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            2. Tilt the wiper blade in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the wiper arm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004702.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004702.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Install in the reverse order of removal.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id09190080430005\" id=\"id09190080430005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Type B<\/h5>\n<p>            1. Pull the wiper blade tab up in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004703.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004703.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Tilt the wiper blade in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, and detach the wiper arm from the wiper blade.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004704.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004704.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the wiper arm end is placed directly on the windshield after removing the wiper blade, it could scratch the windshield.
