2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

CD PLAYER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Shift lever knob (MT)<\/p>\n

c. Shift panel compartment (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

d. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

e. Parking brake lever boot panel (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

f. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

g. Scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

h. Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

i. Front seat back bar garnish (See SEAT BACK BAR GARNISH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

j. Quarter trim (See QUARTER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

k. Wind blocker (See WIND BLOCKER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

l. Roof hook lever (See ROOF HOOK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

m. Back trim (See BACK TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Remove the nuts.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Remove the CD player.<\/p>\n

6. To remove the CD player bracket, remove the nuts and then remove the CD player bracket.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
