2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

MICROPHONE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Scuff plate (passenger’s side) (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Front side trim (passenger’s side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. A-pillar trim (passenger’s side) (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

d. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

e. Center panel No.2 (See CENTER PANEL No.2 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

f. Meter hood (See METER HOOD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Move a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and pull the voice recognition microphone in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the voice recognition microphone tabs from the meter hood.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Detach all voice recognition tabs from the meter hood.<\/p>\n

5. Remove the microphone.<\/p>\n

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
