{"id":10627,"date":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mazdaman.x10host.com\/sm356325\/"},"modified":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","modified_gmt":"2017-06-08T04:12:52","slug":"sm356325","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/chroot-me.in\/16ND\/sm356325\/","title":{"rendered":"COMMANDER SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"node node SERVICE_MANUALS\">\n    <\/p>\n<div class=\"textleft\">\n<div class=\"attr CONTENT c2\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n          <link rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text\/css\" href=\"style.css\" media=\"screen\"><a class=\"prevPage\" href=\"SM356324\">&lt; Previous<\/a> <a class=\"nextPage\" href=\"SM356326\">Next &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>2016 &#8211; MX-5 &#8211; Body and Accessories<\/h2>\n<p><a name=\"id092000811300\" id=\"id092000811300\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>COMMANDER SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The connectivity master unit (CMU) determines the presence\/non-presence of a commander switch and records it based on the communication status when the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) or to the ACC position for the first time after the negative battery cable is connected.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If the negative battery cable is connected while the connectivity master unit (CMU) has recorded the non-presence of the commander switch and thereafter a commander switch is installed, the installed commander switch will not operate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>When installing or removing the commander switch, always disconnect the negative battery cable, and after the servicing is completed, switch the ignition to ACC or ON (engine off or on) to allow the connectivity master unit (CMU) to record the presence\/non-presence of the commander switch.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See <a href=\"SM353197\">AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Shift lever knob (MT)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Shift panel compartment (See <a href=\"SM356197\">SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Upper panel (See <a href=\"SM356228\">UPPER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the screws.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002931.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002931.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the commander switch.<\/p>\n<p>            5.
