(See <a href=\"SM353470\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353469\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353492\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for <b>1 min or more<\/b>. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Driver-side air bag module (See <a href=\"SM353476\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353477\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353495\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353496\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Steering wheel (See <a href=\"SM353228\">STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Steering shift switch (with shift switch) (See <a href=\"SM353162\">STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SJ6A-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Steering wheel cover (See <a href=\"SM353241\">STEERING WHEEL COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Steering wheel bezel (See <a href=\"SM353240\">STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Pull out the wiring harness clips.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002935.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002935.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Warm up the steering switch tab joints shown in the figure with a heat gun.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002936.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002936.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>By warming up and softening the hard plastic area of the steering wheel using a heat gun, the steering switch tabs can be easily removed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            5. Pull the steering switch in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, then detach the steering switch tabs from the steering wheel and remove the steering switch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002937.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002937.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6.
