Due to the following dangers occurring with a fuel spray, always complete the \u201cFuel Line Safety Procedure\u201d to prevent the fuel from spraying.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>Fuel may cause irritation if it comes in contact with skin and eyes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>If fuel ignites and causes a fire, it may lead to serious injury or death, and damage to property and facilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>\n<p>A person charged with static electricity could cause a fire or explosion, resulting in death or serious injury. Before draining fuel, make sure to discharge static electricity by touching the vehicle body.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Disconnecting\/connecting the quick release connector without cleaning it may cause damage to the fuel pipe and quick release connector. Always clean the quick release connector joint area before disconnecting\/connecting using a cloth or soft brush, and make sure that it is free of foreign material.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The fuel gauge sender unit is located in the fuel pump unit. Therefore, when replacing the fuel gauge sender unit, refer to \u201cFUEL PUMP UNIT DISASSEMBLY\/ASSEMBLY\u201d. (See <a href=\"SM352737\">FUEL PUMP UNIT DISASSEMBLY\/ASSEMBLY [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Complete the \u201cBEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION\u201d. (See <a href=\"SM352744\">BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. If the fuel gauge level indicates 15\/16 or more, refer to the \u201cFUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE\u201d and drain the fuel. (See <a href=\"SM352750\">FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Seat (LH) (See <a href=\"SM356082\">SEAT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Selector lever knob (AT) (See <a href=\"SM353197\">AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Shift lever knob (MT)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Shift panel component (See <a href=\"SM356197\">SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Upper panel (See <a href=\"SM356228\">UPPER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              f. Parking brake lever boot panel (See <a href=\"SM356180\">PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              g. Rear console (See <a href=\"SM356194\">REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              h. Scuff plate (See <a href=\"SM356211\">SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              i. Tire house trim (See <a href=\"SM356200\">TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              j. Seat back bar garnish (See <a href=\"SM356220\">SEAT BACK BAR GARNISH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              k. Quarter trim (See <a href=\"SM356222\">QUARTER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              l. Roof hook lever (See <a href=\"SM356163\">ROOF HOOK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              m. Back trim (See <a href=\"SM356223\">BACK TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              n. CD player, CD player bracket (with CD player) (See <a href=\"SM356301\">CD PLAYER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              o. Side shelf (LH) (See <a href=\"SM356217\">SIDE SHELF REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              p. Rear package trim (See <a href=\"SM356201\">REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              q. Fuel pump unit (See <a href=\"SM352736\">FUEL PUMP UNIT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5.
