Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See <a href=\"SM353197\">AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Shift lever knob (MT)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Shift panel component (See <a href=\"SM356197\">SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Upper panel (See <a href=\"SM356228\">UPPER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Parking brake lever boot panel (See <a href=\"SM356180\">PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              f. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the indicator unit. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n<p>            2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS.<\/p>\n<p>              a. Select \u201cDataLogger\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>              b. Select \u201cModules\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>              c. Select \u201cIC\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Using the simulation function item LCD_SEG, verify that the warning\/indicator lights are displayed as shown in the following figure.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the warning\/indicator lights are not displayed as shown in the figure, replace the indicator unit.
