Using this characteristic, the sensor detects the engine coolant temperature as a resistance value.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0140f400620005\" id=\"id0140f400620005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Operation<\/h4>\n<p>            1. The ECT sensor detects (1) the engine coolant temperature.<\/p>\n<p>            2.
