CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/h3>\n<p><a name=\"id0810b250020001\" id=\"id0810b250020001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Purpose<\/h4>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The SAS control module controls the air bag system.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0810b250020002\" id=\"id0810b250020002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Function<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"id0810b250020003\" id=\"id0810b250020003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Air bag system initialization diagnostics function<\/h5>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>When the ignition is switched ON, the SAS control module turns on the air bag\/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light in the instrument cluster for approx. <b>6 s<\/b> to indicate that the air bag system is performing initialization diagnostics.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If there is no malfunction with the air bag system, the air bag\/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light turns off.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0810b250020004\" id=\"id0810b250020004\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Backup power supply function<\/h5>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The condenser in the SAS control module discharges even if the power supply to the SAS control module has been cut off due to a collision, and the backup power supply function operates the air bag system for a specified period of time.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0810b250020005\" id=\"id0810b250020005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Vehicle travel conditions detection function<\/h5>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The SAS control module detects the signals from the following integrated sensors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The SAS control module outputs the detection signals from the following sensors and outputs them to the DSC HU\/CM via a CAN the following units when it determines that it is necessary for the air bag system to operate (deploy).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>When the signal is received, each unit performs control to mediate
