Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before servicing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Highly pressurized fuel may spray out if the fuel line is cut.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the following dangers occurring with a fuel spray, always complete the \u201cFuel Line Safety Procedure\u201d to prevent the fuel from spraying.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>Fuel may cause irritation if it comes in contact with skin and eyes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If fuel ignites and causes a fire, it may lead to serious injury or death, and damage to property and facilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the camshaft is rotated with the timing chain removed and the piston at the top dead center position, the valve may contact the piston and the engine could be damaged. When rotating the camshaft with the timing chain removed, rotate it after lowering the piston from the top dead center position.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the seal cover. (See <a href=\"SM352695\">SEAL COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the ignition coil\/ion sensors. (See <a href=\"SM352788\">IGNITION COIL\/ION SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the air cleaner, air hose and resonance chamber No.1 as a single unit. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the drive belt. (See <a href=\"SM352691\">DRIVE BELT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the front crossmember under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356179\">FRONT CROSSMEMBER UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Drain the engine oil. (See <a href=\"SM352704\">ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Drain the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the intake manifold. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            10. Set aside the exhaust manifold to the vehicle rear. (See <a href=\"SM352752\">EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            11. Remove the high pressure fuel pump and rear housing. (See <a href=\"SM352739\">HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            12. Remove the oil pan. (See <a href=\"SM352702\">OIL PAN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            13. Remove the timing chain and chain guide. (See <a href=\"SM352687\">TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            14. Remove the OCV. (See <a href=\"SM352688\">OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            15. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            16. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            17. Refill with the specified type and amount of the engine oil. (See <a href=\"SM352704\">ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            18. Refill the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            19. Start the engine, and inspect and adjust the following:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Leakage of engine oil, engine coolant.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Runout and contact of pulley and belt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ignition timing, idle speed and idle mixture. Keep the rocker arms in the order of removal to enable reassembly in their original positions.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id0110h280070003\" id=\"id0110h280070003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Cylinder Head Removal Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Apply SAE 90 gear oil or equivalent, or engine oil to the positions shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Apply 0.05 ml {0.05 cc, 0.003 in<sup>3<\/sup>} or less of oil to area A in the figure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004384.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004384.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. If oil adheres to the engine front cover installation surface, a sealing malfunction may occur when the engine front cover is installed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If oil adheres to the engine front cover installation surface, remove any oil completely.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If oil is applied to the front camshaft cap, oil should not be applied to the thrust surface of the front journal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            3. Install the camshaft with the timing chain alignment marks aligned as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004385.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004385.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Apply SAE 90 gear oil or equivalent, or engine oil to the central area of each journal on the camshaft.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004386.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004386.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Apply SAE 90 gear oil or equivalent, or engine oil to the thrust surface of the front camshaft cap.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Be careful not to let oil adheres the engine front cover installation surface. If oil adheres to the engine front cover installation surface, a sealing malfunction may occur when the engine front cover is installed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If oil adheres to the engine front cover installation surface, remove any oil completely.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If oil is applied to the front journal thrust surface of each camshaft, oil should not be applied to the front camshaft cap.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            6.
