Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before servicing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the camshaft is rotated with the timing chain removed and the piston at the top dead center position, the valve may contact the piston and the engine could be damaged. When rotating the camshaft with the timing chain removed, rotate it after lowering the piston from the top dead center position.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>When rotating the camshaft using a wrench on the cast hexagon, the wrench may contact the rocker arm and damage the rocker arm. To prevent damage to the rocker arm when holding the camshaft on the cast hexagon, use a wrench on the rear side of the engine as shown in the figure to secure a clearance between the cam.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5WZW00003212.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5WZW00003212.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Width at the cast hexagon of the camshaft is <b>22\u201424 mm {0.87\u20140.94 in}<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00011114.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00011114.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the seal cover. (See <a href=\"SM352695\">SEAL COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the ignition coil\/ion sensors. (See <a href=\"SM352788\">IGNITION COIL\/ION SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the air cleaner, air hose and resonance chamber No.1 as a single unit. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the drive belt. (See <a href=\"SM352691\">DRIVE BELT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the front crossmember under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356179\">FRONT CROSSMEMBER UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Drain the engine oil. (See <a href=\"SM352704\">ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Drain the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the oil pan. (See <a href=\"SM352702\">OIL PAN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            10. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            11. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            12. Refill with the specified type and amount of the engine oil. (See <a href=\"SM352704\">ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            13. Refill the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            14. Start the engine and inspect the following:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Leakage of engine oil and engine coolant.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Runout and contact of pulley and belt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ignition timing, idle speed and idle mixture. (See <a href=\"SM352683\">ENGINE TUNE-UP [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005406.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor No.1 connector.<\/p>\n<p>              b. Remove the clip and set the wiring harness aside.<\/p>\n<p>            4.
