Turn off the engine and wait until it and the engine oil have cooled.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A vehicle that is lifted but not securely supported on safety stands is dangerous. It can slip or fall, causing death or serious injury. Never work around or under a lifted vehicle if it is not securely supported on safety stands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Continuous exposure to USED engine oil has caused skin cancer in laboratory mice. Protect your skin by washing with soap and water immediately after working with engine oil.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the front crossmember under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356179\">FRONT CROSSMEMBER UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Cover the area around the engine oil solenoid valve with a cloth because a small amount of engine oil will leak from the engine oil solenoid valve installation area.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Do not allow any engine oil to contact the adjacent water pump and water pump body gasket. Otherwise, the gasket could swell causing a seal malfunction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0111h300300002\" id=\"id0111h300300002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Engine Oil Solenoid Valve Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Remove sealant around the cylinder block screw holes before installing the engine oil solenoid valve.<\/p>\n<p>            2. After tightening the <b>three bolts<\/b> shown in the figure, tighten the first tightened bolt to the specified tightening torque again.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004223.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004223.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The tightening order for the three bolts is optional.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n                <b>Tightening torque<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>12\u201416 N\u00b7m {123\u2014163 kgf\u00b7cm, 107\u2014141 in\u00b7lbf}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0111h300300003\" id=\"id0111h300300003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Oil Pressure Switch Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Verify that there is no sealant between 1.7\u20142.7 mm {0.07\u20140.10 in} from the end of the oil pressure switch to prevent a possible operation malfunction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. When reusing the oil pressure switch, apply silicone sealant (TB2403 or equivalent) to the threads of the oil pressure switch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3UUW00008914.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3UUW00008914.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Install the oil pressure switch before the applied sealant starts to harden.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            2.
