Turn off the engine and wait until it and the engine oil have cooled.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A vehicle that is lifted but not securely supported on safety stands is dangerous. It can slip or fall, causing death or serious injury. Never work around or under a lifted vehicle if it is not securely supported on safety stands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Continuous exposure to USED engine oil has caused skin cancer in laboratory mice. Protect your skin by washing with soap and water immediately after working with engine oil.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the front crossmember under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356179\">FRONT CROSSMEMBER UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the oil pressure switch. (See <a href=\"SM352700\">ENGINE OIL SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Use the following SSTs in this inspection.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6ZZW00004384.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM6ZZW00004384.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p><b>49 D019 908 (gauge)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>49 D019 909 (hose)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>49 D019 910 (adapter)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>49 D019 911 (adapter)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            4. Install the <b>SSTs<\/b> to the oil pressure switch installation hole using the following procedure.<\/p>\n<p>              a. Assemble <b>SSTs 49 D019 908<\/b>, <b>49 D019 909<\/b>, and <b>49 D019 911<\/b> outside of the engine compartment beforehand.<\/p>\n<p>              b. Install <b>SST 49 D019 910<\/b> to the oil pressure switch installation hole.<\/p>\n<p>              c. Install <b>SST 49 D019 911<\/b> to the <b>SST 49 D019 910<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.<\/p>\n<p>            7. Run the engine at the specified speed, and note the gauge readings.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If not within the specification, inspect for the cause and repair or replace if necessary.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The oil pressure can vary with oil viscosity, temperature and engine speed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n                <b>Oil pressure (reference value) [coolant temperature: 80\u201490 \u00b0C {176\u2014194 \u00b0F}]<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>Lo: 110\u2014175 kPa {1.13\u20141.78 kgf\/cm<sup>2<\/sup>, 16.0\u201425.3 psi} [1,500 rpm]<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hi: 300\u2014430 kPa {3.06\u20144.38 kgf\/cm<sup>2<\/sup>, 43.6\u201462.3 psi} [4,500 rpm]<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            8. Stop the engine and wait until the engine temperature decreases.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            10. Remove the <b>SSTs.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>            11. Install the oil pressure switch. (See <a href=\"SM352700\">ENGINE OIL SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            12. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            13. Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If there is oil leakage, repair or replace the applicable part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            14. Install the front crossmember under cover.
