Due to the following dangers occurring with a fuel spray, always complete the \u201cFuel Line Safety Procedure\u201d to prevent the fuel from spraying.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>Fuel may cause irritation if it comes in contact with skin and eyes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If fuel ignites and causes a fire, it may lead to serious injury or death, and damage to property and facilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>\n<p>A person charged with static electricity could cause a fire or explosion, resulting in death or serious injury. Before draining fuel, make sure to discharge static electricity by touching the vehicle body.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Touching the end of the fuel injector by hand or pressing it to an object may cause a malfunction. Be very careful when handling the end of the fuel injector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>When the fuel distributor is removed, air tightness of the fuel injector will be lost. Always replace the stopper ring, O-ring, back-up ring, and teflon seal of the fuel injector with new ones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Do not remove the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel distributor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Complete the \u201cBEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION\u201d. (See <a href=\"SM352744\">BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the seal cover. (See <a href=\"SM352695\">SEAL COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the intake manifold. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            7. Complete the \u201cAFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION\u201d. Remove the fuel distributor.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id0114z580060002\" id=\"id0114z580060002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Stopper Ring Removal Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>When removing the stopper ring, do not damage the fuel injector with the tool.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Stretch the teflon seal as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015553.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015553.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the teflon seal as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015554.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015554.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0114z580060004\" id=\"id0114z580060004\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Teflon Seal Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>49 D013 102, 49 D013 103, and 49 D013 104 are component parts for 49 D013 1A0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Apply engine oil to the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015555.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015555.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Install the <b>SST<\/b> with the mark on the <b>SST<\/b> facing the fuel injector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015556.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015556.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Insert a new teflon seal onto the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015557.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015557.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Install the <b>SST<\/b> equipped with the teflon seal to the end of the fuel injector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015558.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015558.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Using the <b>SST<\/b>, press on the teflon seal to the fuel injector side.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015559.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015559.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6. Press on the teflon seal to the position indicated in the figure, then remove the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015560.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015560.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Install the teflon seal to the fuel injector by hand and remove the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015561.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015561.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            8. Slide the <b>SST<\/b> to the end of the fuel injector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015562.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015562.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9. Hold the <b>SST<\/b> at the position shown in the figure and correctly position the teflon seal for more than 30 sec.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015563.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015563.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0114z580060005\" id=\"id0114z580060005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Back-up Ring Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. After installing the back-up ring, verify that it is installed correctly.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015565.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015565.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0114z580060006\" id=\"id0114z580060006\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Stopper Ring Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Do not insert the stopper ring at an angle, and always press it on straight to the SST.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Set a new stopper ring on the <b>SST<\/b> as shown in the figure being careful of the stopper ring orientation, and press down the fuel injector until a click sound is heard.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015566.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM3ZZW00015566.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0114z580060007\" id=\"id0114z580060007\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Fuel Injector Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If engine oil is applied to the fuel injector, it could adhere to the injection holes and inhibit the fuel injector function. To prevent this, apply engine oil to the cylinder head side.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Apply engine oil to the fuel injector installation holes.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Insert the fuel injectors to the installation holes one by one, being careful of the direction the fuel injectors are pointed.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005174.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005174.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0114z580060008\" id=\"id0114z580060008\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Fuel Distributor Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Install the fuel distributor to the fuel injectors while aligning the projection of the spacer to the notch of the fuel distributor.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005175.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005175.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Temporarily tighten the fuel distributor installation bolts until their heads contact the fuel distributors.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Turn the fuel distributor installation bolts a half a turn in the order shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005176.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005176.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Turn the fuel distributor installation bolts another half a turn in the order shown in the figure (one turn including the half turn in Step 3).<\/p>\n<p>            5. Tighten the fuel distributor installation bolts in the order shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Fuel distributor installation bolt tightening torque<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>20\u201426 N\u00b7m {2.1\u20142.6 kgf\u00b7m, 15\u201419 ft\u00b7lbf}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            6. Install the high pressure fuel pipe.
