It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Highly pressurized fuel may spray out if the fuel line is cut. Due to the following dangers occurring with a fuel spray, always complete the \u201cFuel Line Safety Procedure\u201d to prevent the fuel from spraying.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<ul type=\"square\">\n<li>\n<p>Fuel may cause irritation if it comes in contact with skin and eyes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If fuel ignites and causes a fire, it may lead to serious injury or death, and damage to property and facilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>\n<p>A person charged with static electricity could cause a fire or explosion, resulting in death or serious injury. Before performing work on the fuel system, discharge static electricity by touching the vehicle body.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0114z580200001\" id=\"id0114z580200001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Fuel Line Safety Procedure<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the fuel-filler cap to release the pressure inside the fuel tank.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the fuel pump relay.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005203.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005203.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump connector.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Start the engine.<\/p>\n<p>            7. After engine stall, crank the engine <b>2 to 3 times<\/b> repeatedly and verify that the engine idling condition is not maintained. (to relieve pressure in fuel pipe)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Switch the ignition to off.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            10. Install the fuel pump relay.<\/p>\n<p>            11.
