Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the intake manifold. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Insert a flat blade screwdriver with its tip wrapped in a shop rag into the gap between the retainer and the oil separator as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005753.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005753.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Spread the side surface of the retainer outward to dismount it with attention to the tab.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id0116z881980002\" id=\"id0116z881980002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Retainer Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Be sure to replace the old retainer with a new one to prevent the escape of blow-by gas. Reinstalling the old retainer will reduce airtightness.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1.
