This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the negative battery cable before performing the following operation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Set the resonance duct and air intake hoses No.1 and 2 aside as a single unit using the following procedure. (With resonance chamber No.2)<\/p>\n<p>              a. Remove the bolt shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005426.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005426.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>              b. Disconnect the air intake hose No.1 from the joint pipe.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005427.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005427.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>              c. Set the resonance duct and air intake hoses No.1 and 2 aside as a single unit in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005428.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005428.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the battery and battery tray. (See <a href=\"SM352780\">BATTERY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the air cleaner, air hose and resonance chamber No.1 as a single unit. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the generator drive belt. (See <a href=\"SM352691\">DRIVE BELT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the drive belt auto tensioner. (See <a href=\"SM352677\">DRIVE BELT AUTO TENSIONER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Detach the clip and set the wiring harness aside.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004275.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004275.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            8. Remove the bolt and nuts shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004276.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004276.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The PCM component can be moved freely with the PCM connector connected by removing the nuts and bolt.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Example of PCM component movement<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004277.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004277.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            9. Remove the nut shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004278.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004278.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the nut is removed, the wiring harness protector can be slightly moved.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            10. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            11. Disconnect the A\/C compressor connector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004280.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004280.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the generator upper bolt.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the wiring harness bracket.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the generator lower bolt.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the generator.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004281.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004281.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0117008002h502\" id=\"id0117008002h502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Generator Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. To facilitate the installation of the generator to the engine, grasp the spacer in the bolt installation hole using pliers and push it down to the nut side.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5WZW00002650.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5WZW00002650.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Align the generator bolt installation holes on the engine and generator sides.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Set the wiring harness bracket to the installation position.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Temporarily tighten the generator bolts (upper and lower).<\/p>\n<p>            5. Tighten the generator bolts in the order shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004282.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004282.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Tightening torque<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>38???52 N\u00b7m {3.9???5.3 kgf\u00b7m, 29???38 ft\u00b7lbf}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            6.
