Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0140f480190001\" id=\"id0140f480190001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>ECT Sensor No.1<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Drain the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the ECT sensor No.1 connector.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the ECT sensor No.1 using the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003653.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003653.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Install the ECT sensor No.1 using the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003654.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003654.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6. Connect the ECT sensor No.1 connector.<\/p>\n<p>            7. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Refill the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id0140f480190002\" id=\"id0140f480190002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>ECT Sensor No.2 (U.S.A. and CANADA)<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Lift up the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the front under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356165\">FRONT UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Drain the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Disconnect the ECT sensor No.2 connector.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the ECT sensor No.2 using the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003655.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003655.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Install the ECT sensor No.2 using the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003656.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003656.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            8. Connect the ECT sensor No.2 connector.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Install the front under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356165\">FRONT UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            10. Lift down the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>            11. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            12. Refill the engine coolant.
