Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0140f480200001\" id=\"id0140f480200001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>ECT sensor No.1<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"id0140f480200002\" id=\"id0140f480200002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Resistance Inspection<\/h5>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Drain the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the ECT sensor No.1 connector.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the ECT sensor No.1 using the SST. (See <a href=\"SM352812\">ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Place the ECT sensor No.1 in water with a thermometer, and heat the water gradually.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2UUW00001312.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2UUW00001312.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6. Measure the resistance between ECT sensor No.1 terminals A and B.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If not as specified, replace the ECT sensor No.1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Lift up the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the front under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356165\">FRONT UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Drain the engine coolant. (See <a href=\"SM352713\">ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Disconnect the ECT sensor No.2 connector.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the ECT sensor No.2 using the SST. (See <a href=\"SM352812\">ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7.
