Remove the drain plug and washer, and drain the differential oil into a container. (See <a href=\"SM352903\">DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Install a new washer and the drain plug, and tighten.<\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Tightening torque<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>40\u201453 N\u00b7m {4.1\u20145.4 kgf\u00b7m, 30\u201439 ft\u00b7lbf}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            3. Remove the rear drive shaft. (See <a href=\"SM352897\">REAR DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the oil seal from the differential casing using a flathead screwdriver.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004877.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004877.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Wrap the end of a flathead screwdriver with cloth to prevent scratches to the inside of the differential casing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            5. Apply differential oil to the new oil seal lip.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Install the new oil seal to the differential carrier using the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/ARDJJW00005886.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/ARDJJW00005886.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Install the oil seal at a straight angle.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            7. Install the rear drive shaft. (See <a href=\"SM352897\">REAR DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Add the specified differential oil. (See <a href=\"SM352903\">DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. After adding the oil, perform an oil level inspection. (See <a href=\"SM352902\">DIFFERENTIAL OIL INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            10.
