2016 – MX-5 – Brakes<\/h2>\n

DISC PAD (FRONT) REPLACEMENT [WITH 4-POT OPPOSED PISTON CALIPER]<\/h3>\n

1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n

2. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

3. After installation, depress the brake pedal a few times, rotate the wheel by hand, and verify that the brake does not drag.<\/p>\n

Pin Removal Note<\/h4>\n

1. Remove the pins in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure using a pin punch and hammer.<\/p>\n

Disc Pad Installation Note<\/h4>\n

1. Clean the exposed area of the piston.<\/p>\n

2. Push the piston in using the commercially available disc brake expand tool.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

3. Install the disc pads to the caliper.<\/p>\n
