Therefore, replace the switch with a new one when replacing the power brake unit or performing any procedure that changes the brake pedal stroke.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the master cylinder. (See <a href=\"SM353013\">MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the brake pipe from the clip.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005094.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005094.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            6. After installation, add brake fluid, bleed the air, and inspect for fluid leakage. (See <a href=\"SM353021\">BRAKE FLUID AIR BLEEDING<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Remove the brake switch. (See <a href=\"SM353012\">BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Inspect the brake pedal. (See <a href=\"SM353011\">BRAKE PEDAL INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. Install a new brake switch.
