2016 – MX-5 – Brakes<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. When working on the left side of the vehicle, remove the trunk covering. (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4. When working on the left side of the vehicle, remove the partition board. (See PARTITION BOARD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

5. Remove the trunk side trim. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

6. When working on the left side of the vehicle, remove the fuel-filler pipe protector. (See FUEL-FILLER PIPE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

7. Disconnect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor connector.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

8. Press out the rear ABS wheel speed sensor toward the outside of the vehicle while pressing the grommet tabs.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

9. Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n

10. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

11. After installation, verify that there is no twisting in the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor.<\/p>\n
