Be sure to use the M-MDS to inspect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Select the following PIDs using the M-MDS:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>WSPD_SEN_LR (LR wheel-speed sensor)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>WSPD_SEN_RR (RR wheel-speed sensor)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            4. Start the engine and drive the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Verify that the display of the M-MDS shows the same value as the speedometer.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If there is any malfunction, replace the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353029\">REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id04150080020002\" id=\"id04150080020002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Installation Visual Inspection<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Inspect for the following:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>              a. Excessive play of the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor<\/p>\n<p>              b. Deformation of the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor<\/p>\n<p>              c. Deformation or damage of the ABS sensor rotor<\/p>\n<p>              d. Adhering foreign matter<\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id04150080020003\" id=\"id04150080020003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Clearance Inspection<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"id04150080020004\" id=\"id04150080020004\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Preparation prior to inspection<\/h5>\n<p>            1. Remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353029\">REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the wheel hub component. (See <a href=\"SM352895\">WHEEL HUB COMPONENT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Install the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor to the removed wheel hub component, and tighten to the specified torque.<\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Tightening torque<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>8\u201410 N\u00b7m {82\u2014101 kgf\u00b7cm, 71\u201488 in\u00b7lbf}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id04150080020005\" id=\"id04150080020005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Clearance Inspection<\/h5>\n<p>            1. Measure the gap between the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor and ABS sensor rotor using a feeler gauge.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXZZW00002812.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXZZW00002812.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If not within the specification, replace the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353029\">REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n                <b>Clearance<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>0.810\u20141.443 mm {0.0319\u20140.0568 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id04150080020006\" id=\"id04150080020006\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Servicing after inspection<\/h5>\n<p>            1. Remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor from the wheel hub component.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Install the wheel hub component. (See <a href=\"SM352895\">WHEEL HUB COMPONENT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Install the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353029\">REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Inspect the rear wheel alignment.
