Be sure to use the M-MDS to inspect the front ABS wheel-speed sensor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Select the following PIDs using the M-MDS:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>WSPD_SEN_LF (LF wheel-speed sensor)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>WSPD_SEN_RF (RF wheel-speed sensor)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            4. Start the engine and drive the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Verify that the display of the M-MDS shows the same value as the speedometer.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If there is any malfunction, replace the front ABS wheel-speed sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353031\">FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id04150080040002\" id=\"id04150080040002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Installation Visual Inspection<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Inspect for the following:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>              a. Excessive play of the front ABS wheel-speed sensor<\/p>\n<p>              b. Deformation of the front ABS wheel-speed sensor<\/p>\n<p>              c. Deformation or damage of the ABS sensor rotor<\/p>\n<p>              d. Adhering foreign matter<\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id04150080040003\" id=\"id04150080040003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Clearance Inspection<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Remove the front ABS wheel-speed sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353031\">FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Measure the distance between the front ABS wheel-speed sensor installation surface and the ABS sensor rotor. This is dimension A.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXZZW00002813.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXZZW00002813.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Calculate the clearance between the front ABS wheel-speed sensor and the ABS sensor rotor using the following formula:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Clearance (mm ) = A-14 {0.55}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            4. Verify that the clearance between the front ABS wheel-speed sensor and ABS sensor rotor is as indicated below.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If not within the specification, replace the front ABS wheel-speed sensor.
