Clean the transmission exterior thoroughly with a steam cleaner or cleaning solvent.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the tunnel member.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003817.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003817.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the HO2S harness bracket from the TWC. (See <a href=\"SM352822\">HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Disconnect the TWC from the exhaust manifold (WU-TWC). (See <a href=\"SM352752\">EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Suspend the TWC using a cable as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002847.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00002847.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the propeller shaft. (See <a href=\"SM352908\">PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Using a plastic hammer and slab of wood, tap the extension dust deflector to remove it.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003542.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003542.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Do not to damage the extension dust deflector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Do not to damage the extension housing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            8. Using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, remove the extension housing shroud.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003543.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003543.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9. Using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, remove the oil seal (extension housing).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003544.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003544.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            10. Using the <b>SST<\/b> and a hammer, install the new oil seal to the extension housing.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005630.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005630.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            11. Coat the oil seal lip with grease.<\/p>\n<p>            12. Using the <b>SST<\/b> and a hammer, install the new extension housing shroud to the extension housing.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005631.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005631.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            13. Using a plastic hammer and slab of wood, install the extension dust deflector to the extension housing.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003547.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003547.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            14. Install the propeller shaft. (See <a href=\"SM352908\">PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            15. Install the TWC to the exhaust manifold (WU-TWC).
