Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module. (See <a href=\"SM353470\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353469\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353492\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for <b>1 min or more<\/b>. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>. )<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See <a href=\"SM353476\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353495\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353228\">STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch) (See <a href=\"SM353162\">STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SJ6A-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the steering wheel cover. (See <a href=\"SM353241\">STEERING WHEEL COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Warm up the shaded area shown in the figure and soften the hard plastic area of the steering wheel using a heat gun.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003049.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003049.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Pull the part of the steering wheel bezel near tabs A and B and detach the tabs.<\/p>\n<p>            8. Warm up the shaded area shown in the figure and soften the hard plastic area of the steering wheel using a heat gun.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003050.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003050.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9. Pull the part of the steering wheel bezel near tabs C and remove the steering wheel bezel.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003051.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003051.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            10.
