Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module. (See <a href=\"SM353470\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353469\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353492\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for <b>1 min or more<\/b>. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>. )<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See <a href=\"SM353476\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353495\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353477\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353496\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the steering wheel. (See <a href=\"SM353228\">STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch) (See <a href=\"SM353162\">STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SJ6A-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, press tabs A of the steering wheel cover in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure to detach tabs A from the steering wheel.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003053.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003053.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            6. Pull the part of the steering wheel cover near tabs B in the order of (1), (2), (3) and detach them.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003054.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003054.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel. (See <a href=\"\"#id06130080350001\">Steering Wheel Cover Installation Note<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003055.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003055.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            8. Remove the wiring harnesses and clips of the steering shift switch from the steering wheel cover. (With steering shift switch) (See <a href=\"SM353162\">STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SJ6A-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. Install in the reverse order of removal.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id06130080350001\" id=\"id06130080350001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Steering Wheel Cover Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1.
