Before performing the work, verify that the steering gear has cooled down.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the front under cover. (See <a href=\"SM356165\">FRONT UNDER COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Detach the wiring harness clip and connectors shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003470.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003470.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Detach the wiring harness clips shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003471.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003471.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the MAF sensor\/IAT sensor No.1. (See <a href=\"SM352834\">MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR\/INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR NO.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the following parts as a single unit. (See <a href=\"SM352729\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              a. Resonance chamber No.1<\/p>\n<p>              b. Air cleaner cover<\/p>\n<p>              c. Air cleaner element<\/p>\n<p>              d. Air cleaner case<\/p>\n<p>            7. Remove the ground shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003472.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003472.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            8. Detach the wiring harness clips and connectors shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove the EPS short cord.<\/p>\n<p>            10.
