2016 – MX-5 – HVAC<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

BLOWER FAN CONTROLLER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

a. Passenger-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

b. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

c. Passenger-side A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

d. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3. Remove the screw.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Remove the side duct.<\/p>\n

5. Remove the duct.<\/p>\n

6. Remove the auto leveling control module. (Without adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

7. Remove the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module. (With adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

8. Disconnect the connectors.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

9. Disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

10. While pressing tab A of the blower fan controller in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, lift the blower fan controller to detach tab A of the blower fan controller from the A\/C unit.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

11. Lift the blower fan controller and detach tabs B, C, D and E of the blower fan controller from the A\/C unit.<\/p>\n

12. Remove the blower fan controller.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

13. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
