2016 – MX-5 – Restraints<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)]<\/h3>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

CMDTC Self Test<\/h4>\n

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC\u20132.<\/p>\n

2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS.<\/p>\n

a. Select \u201cSelf Test\u201d.<\/p>\n

b. Select \u201cAll CMDTCs\u201d.<\/p>\n

3. Verify the DTC according to the directions on the screen.<\/p>\n

4. Press the clear button on the DTC screen to clear the DTC.<\/p>\n

5. Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n

6. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more<\/b>.<\/p>\n

7. Perform DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

8. Verify that no DTCs are displayed.

ODDTC Self Test<\/h4>\n

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC\u20132.<\/p>\n

2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS.<\/p>\n

a. Select \u201cSelf Test\u201d.<\/p>\n

b. Select \u201cModules\u201d.<\/p>\n

c. Select \u201cRCM\u201d.<\/p>\n

3. Verify the DTC according to the directions on the screen.<\/p>\n

4. Press the clear button on the DTC screen to clear the DTC.<\/p>\n

5. Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n

6. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 11 s or more<\/b>.<\/p>\n

7. Perform DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

8. Verify that no DTCs are displayed.<\/p>\n
