Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the crash zone sensor. (See <a href=\"SM353470\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353469\">AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for <b>1 min or more<\/b>. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the front bumper. (See <a href=\"SM356039\">FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL<\/a>.)(See <a href=\"SM356040\">FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the bolt.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003926.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003926.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the cover.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Remove the bolt.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003927.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003927.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            7. Disconnect the crash zone sensor connector. (See <a href=\"\"#id0810b180050001\">Crash Zone Sensor Connector Disconnect Note<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Remove the crash zone sensor.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            10. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).<\/p>\n<p>            11. Verify that the air bag\/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for <b>approx. 6 s<\/b> and turns off.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the air bag\/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system. (See <a href=\"SM353413\">FLOWCHART [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0810b180050001\" id=\"id0810b180050001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Crash Zone Sensor Connector Disconnect Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Pull out the crash zone sensor connector lock lever in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003928.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00003928.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2.
